Rocking Readers Book Club - Ballycastle

Clean Up & Coasteering on the Causeway Coast

Ballintoy Harbour, Saturday 20th September, 10.30 am to 2 pm, Pre-booking required (Free Event)

Coastal Cleanup Day is dedicated to the improvement of beaches, coastal regions and surrounding areas throughout the world.  Why not join us as we pull on our wellies and scour the sand to help clear up the harbour? Once the work is done, cool off and take part in a free Coasteering taster session with Causeway Coasteering.  Suitable for families with older children. Bring a packed lunch/snack, a towel, swimwear, sturdy footwear to wear in the sea and shorts to wear over wetsuit.

WOMAD- Ballycastle

Saturday 20th September, 2pm-4pm. Sheskburn Recreation Centre.

The September sessions will give participants in the three areas the opportunity to participate in world music, arts and dance workshops facilitated by artists representing WOMAD, with guests from Senegal, Ghana and Jamaica arriving to our shores especially for the programme.

Friday 26th - Talk Terry Moylan, Archivist Na Piobairi Uilleann. 8.30pm - 10pm in Parish Centre, Chapel Road. £3 to non-members of Historical Society.

Saturday 27th - 10am-1pm Researching traditional musicians through the Library Service.

2.30pm - 3.30pm The Uilleann Pipes: the most complex bagpipes in the world explained. Old School House, Mill street.

2pm Pubs open

4pm after talk, Pipers Chair - solo piping, Uillean Pipes

5pm or so piping session until late

Sunday 28th - 2pm pubs open for sessions
