Armoy Environment Day - Free Event

Causeway Coast & Glens Heritage Trust, Wednesday 23rd July, 10 am - 3 pm

Village/Park Litter Picking, Tree Planting, Face Painting, Butterfly Counting, Art & Crafts, Storytelling, Poster Competition (Design a Poster) open to children from age 4 - 14.  Leave completed posters at the CCGHT office, The Old Bank, Armoy. Winners announced on 23rd July and poster will be displayed in the village during Armoy Road Race Week.

Brighter Nights, Tennis Dennis- Ballycastle

This plucky Kentucky-born tennis player attempts the impossible- squeezing himself through his tennis racket. Plus juggling, cool dance moves and a jaw-dropping finale.

Roonivoolin Ramble - Rathlin Island 2014

Rathlin Island, Saturday 2nd August, 12 noon

RSPB invite you to don your walking boots and put your best foot forward to experience the rare, untamed beauty of Rathlin Island for yourself with expert guidance from the RSPB. The walk departs from the Manor House and will last for approx 3 hours. Please note the last ferry which will get you there leaves Ballycastle at 11.15 am. Return from Rathlin is at 4.15 pm or 5.30 pm.

Big Butterfly Count - Cushendall

Ballyeamon Barn, Cushendall 1st Aug 7.30pm and 2nd Aug 11.00am

Join Catherine Bertrand from Butterfly Conservation NI at the fantastically cosy Ballyeamon Barn situated in beautiful Glenballyeamon. Catherine will tell us all about our native butterflies and moths. Come back the next morning for breakfast and a butterfly ramble over the amazing scenic hills of the glens. We'll be recording what we see as part of the Big Butterfly Count. If you can’t make it on the day have a go at the Big Butterfly Count yourself and make the butterflies of the Glens Count! www.bigbutterflycount.org

Ballycastle Tennis Club Junior Summer Camp

Wed 30th July to Sat 2nd August

All ages from 10-1pm and 1-4.00pm. Adult coaching from 6-7.30pm and 7.30-9pm each evening if enough interest. 
Prices: 3-hour session £10 for members, £15 for non members.

West End Ramble on Rathlin

Saturday 9th August at 12 noon to 3pm - Departing from the gates to Kebble

The NIEA invites you to join their guides for a ramble through Kebble and Kinramer National Nature Reserve on Rathlin Island. The diversity of wildlife and stunning views make it a must visit site for any outdoors enthusiast. Bring your binoculars and cameras and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the beautiful West End of Rathlin Island.

All walks are free although normal ferry and bus charges apply.

Life on Rathlin- Branson Centre, Rathlin Island

Ausustine McCurdy, Rathlin Author and Historian will be delivering talks about his experiences, stories and books. As well as giving the audience a chance to pick his brains with any questions they may have regarding the past or present life on Rathlin Island.

GET OUTDOORS EVENT- West End Ramble on Rathlin

Saturday 20th September at 12 noon to 3pm - Departing from the gates to Keeble

Take a guided walk through  the Nature Reserve on the quality accredited trails. Experience the sights and sounds of the beautiful West End of Rathlin Island - see Cooraghy Pier and the sea stacks at Bull Point. If you have binoculars bring them along!

A Get Outdoors Weekend event.
